Story Factory staff are all qualified, experienced teachers with a passion for writing, and experts at getting young people excited to write. It doesn’t matter if your students have low literacy levels, or are often disengaged: we have tried and tested strategies you can use to get them writing like never before.
Story Factory has been running fun and engaging creative writing workshops for primary and high school students right across the state since 2012. Each school holidays we offer a range of enjoyable, affordable and NESA accredited courses for primary and high school teachers.

Our workshops are designed and delivered by teachers for teachers.
In our NESA-registered Teacher Professional Learning workshops, we share the proven strategies we’ve developed through our work with young people across Sydney. Our workshops will help you develop engaging units of work and classroom activities for students across the full range of ages and abilities.

All Professional Learning workshops include resources for model activities that have been used and refined in our programs for young people. We also provide teachers with a snapshot of the theory and research underpinning this work.

Schools
Our group workshops are held in the school holidays at our Redfern or Parramatta centres
We can deliver a group workshop of your choice on a school development day, or after hours, onsite at your school
Prices start at $1,500 + GST for a group of 20*
Individual Teachers
Book into the workshop of your choice quickly and easily
Our programs are delivered at Story Factory Redfern during school holidays
Prices start at $150 + GST per person for most courses*
*Excluding Now See Hear, which is $200 + GST per person or $2,000 + GST for groups, due to its extended duration
Collaborative Script Writing for students in Stage five and above.
